The CD is gold pressed and comes in a deluxe thick glossy single card outer cover with paper slipcase. Nice full colour cover with the reverse side showing what looks like a Fillmore West poster - Bill Graham Presents. This release, like the 4 previous from Empress Valley, comes with liner notes in English and Japanese. At 59 minutes and 1 second, the running time is only 15 seconds longer than Cracker Jack Blues. EVSD have managed to reduce the alarming tape speedup in White Summer / Black Mountain Side from 4 seconds to 2. The sound is extremely clear and vibrant but with the vocals still pushed back slightly in the first couple of tracks. Highly enjoyable. Is it better than Cracker Jack Blues? I personally think so but everyone to their own. (Philip Bushe Feb 2002)

Source: Complete excellent radio broadcast. For the famous pilot of the BBC "In Concert" series, this release utilizes the recently discovered complete source tape that includes all chatting, interviews and even the weird interlude provided by the members of The Liverpool Scene. Sound quality is as excellent as one can expect.
