1991-08-02 ~ All In Good Time

Since Rick Wakeman is rejoining Yes for a tour this summer, it seemed like a good time to celebrate with a tree from his last tour with Yes - the Union tour!

This is the soundtrack from a home video recording of the 8/2/91 concert in Houston. I think the video was shot on an 8mm camcorder. The audio is excellent stereo! Bass response is incredible.

You can see the setlist and read my comments on the show on Forgotten Yesterdays.

Each disc is over 79 minutes, remixed by moi. All tracks are complete - no tape flips - but the recording of the drum duet starts a few seconds late. Jon was absolutely hilarious at this performance. All of his remarks are intact except for a fraction of his intro of And You And I.

There seems to have been a redneck invasion during the second half of the show, but it was to the left of the camcorder, and I was able to mix them down a lot. But they're hilarious and add to the atmosphere, too.

By the way, I gave this set the title "All in Good Time." This was primarily because I couldn't think of a name and decided that one would come to me "in good time." How's that for a reason? The title may change before the artwork is released. I'll have to find some inspiration somewhere... "We're Only In It For The Money" is already taken! :)
